Oceani Perduti. Giganti marini al tempo dei dinosauri

Meeting creatures never seen before, coming face-to-face with giant reptiles that lived long before whales and dolphins, and diving into the prehistoric underwater forests.

TESTO INGLESE Oceani perduti. Giganti marini al tempo dei dinosauri is an exhibition created by PaleoAquarium in collaboration with Kosmos, running from September 27, 2025, to June 28, 2026. It brings to life creatures that inhabited Earth between 251 and 66 million years ago, using life-sized models, animations, and 3D reconstructions.

Hosted in the temporary exhibition spaces on the ground and first floors of Kosmos, the show features 24 sections with over 50 prehistoric animal models, 10 fossil casts made from originals, and 8 multimedia stations. Among the largest models are a Liopleurodon, a giant of the Jurassic seas, and the front portion of a Tylosaurus. The full Tylosaurus model—measuring 12.7 meters—will be displayed as a traveling exhibit at partner locations, starting with the Fiordaliso Shopping Center in Rozzano.

One of the most spectacular sections is a diorama showcasing the key species of the Triassic seas and their feeding adaptations, including durophagous placodonts (Placodus), nothosaurs (Nothosaurus), mixosaurs (Mixosaurus), and ceratites (Ceratites)

The exhibition will be accompanied by a rich educational program curated by ADMaiora, featuring guided tours, workshops for schools of all levels, and playful learning activities for families and children. These include themed birthday parties, interactive visits, and even sleepovers at the museum. =>> Check ADMaiora website
