Oceani Perduti. Giganti marini al tempo dei dinosauri

Meeting creatures never seen before, coming face-to-face with giant reptiles that lived long before whales and dolphins, and diving into the prehistoric underwater forests.

“Oceani perduti. Giganti marini al tempo dei dinosauri” is an exhibition created by PaleoAquarium in collaboration with Kosmos, running from September 27, 2025 to June 28, 2026.

This immersive experience brings back to life the incredible marine creatures that inhabited Earth between 285 and 85 million years ago, using life-sized models, animations, and 3D reconstructions. Hosted across the ground floor and first floor of Kosmos’ temporary exhibition spaces, the show features 24 sections, including over 50 prehistoric animal models, 10 fossil casts made from originals, and 8 multimedia stations. Among the largest models are a Liopleurodon, a Jurassic sea giant, and the front half of a Tylosaurus. The full 12.7-meter Tylosaurus model will be showcased as a traveling exhibit, starting at the Fiordaliso Shopping Center in Rozzano.

One of the most spectacular sections is a diorama depicting the key players of the Triassic seas and their feeding adaptations, featuring species like durophagous placodonts (Placodus), nothosaurs (Nothosaurus), mixosaurs (Mixosaurus), and ceratites (Ceratites).

The exhibition is enriched by a wide-ranging educational program curated by ADMaiora, offering guided tours, workshops for schools of all levels, and interactive activities for families and children—including themed birthday parties, playful visits, and even museum sleepovers.  ==> check ADMaiora page
