The library
The museum of natural history library houses about 8000 volumes on zoology and comparative anatomy dating to the years from 1875 to 1960.

The university possesses collections of zoological miscellanies numbering up to 20.000 extracts, deriving from the research of Pietro Pavesi, Cesare Artom, Carlo Jucci and Mario Pavan.
The archives
The material in the archives documents the creation of the natural history collections and, in addition to numerous manuscripts on the history of the museum, it includes the personal archives of Pietro Pavesi, Rina Monti and Mario Pavan.

Consultation of the catalogues
Material cannot be borrowed, but an appointment can be made to consult material in the archive consultation room (museo@unipv.it).
The library supplies photocopies and scans of bibliographic material on request, for legal uses. The service is free on a reciprocal exchange basis with other libraries. Requests can be made by email to museo@unipv.it.
