You can book your visit and/or pay for your ticket on this page. You can also book your visit by calling 0382 986220, from Tuesday to Sunday, 10.00-18.00.

You can buy your ticket online and book your visit to any of the university museums. You can also book by sending an email specifying the name of the museum to the address prenotazione.musei@unipv.it.

How to get here.

The Kosmos Museum is on the ground floor of Palazzo Botta 9, in the historical center of Pavia.
The building is situated in the limited traffic zone (ZTL), and access is monitored by traffic cameras.

BY TRAIN

Pavia is well connected to Milan, Piemonte, Liguria, Toscana and the south of France.
The train station is a five-minute walk from the Kosmos Museum.

BY CAR

Leave autostrada A7 at the BEREGUARDO-PAVIA NORD exit or the GROPELLO-PAVIA SUD exit. Follow directions for the centre of Pavia.
Leave autostrada A21 at the BRONI-STRADELLA exit. Follow directions for the centre of Pavia.
Leave autostrada A21 at the CASALPUSTERLENGO exit. Follow directions for the centre of Pavia.

Paid parking is available in the vicinity outside the limited traffic zone (ZTL) in viale Matteotti, viale Cesare Battisti, via Palestro, viale Nazario Sauro, piazza Petrarca, and the Area Cattaneo car park. There is a free car park in viale Indipendenza, 1.5 km away.

BY BUS

You can get to the vicinity of the Kosmos museum on the number 2, 3, 4, 7 and 10 buses.
The interurban coach station in viale Trieste is a five-minute walk from the Kosmos museum.

Accessibility

Access and mobility

The Museum is accessible to people with reduced mobility, thanks to a ramp that allows access from the courtyard and an elevator that connects all the exhibition areas including the visitable storage areas. Two equipped bathrooms are available.
Kosmos provides a wheelchair free of charge at the ticket office.

Guide dogs

Guide dogs for the blind, equipped with the appropriate harness and kept on a leash, have free access to the museum.
Other animals are not allowed.

Services

The bathrooms at Kosmos have a changing table and internal seats. On the first floor there is a bathroom with toilets suitable for girls and boys.
There are no architectural barriers inside the rooms of the Museum: strollers can access without problems.

Simplified visit

To welcome people with complex communication needs, it is possible to download from the website the simplified guide that explains what can be seen in the rooms, what can be done and how to ask for support in difficult and uncomfortable situations.
For people with cognitive disabilities, a simplified map of the Museum can be downloaded from the website and is available at the ticket office, with a simplified itinerary through images of the most representative pieces exhibited at Kosmos.
The Museum offers a “special” guided tour intended for people with cognitive fragilities.
